The Ghost Patrol's motto is "Support Our Troops By Protecting Their Benefits."

On March 6, 2006, the infamous Hanoi Jane Fonda intends to launch a cross-country bus tour to publicly protest American operations in Iraq.

The Ghost Patrol is a grassroots project in the planning stages of a bus convoy of their own. Their objective is to follow the 60’s anti-war icon cross country from town to town.

Ghost Patrol organizers fear that Ms. Fonda’s bus tour may adversely affect the moral of our deployed troops much as she did during the Vietnam War.

In addition to shadowing Fonda’s every move and drumming up support for our troops, the Ghost Patrol will carry a message of much needed attention to veteran’s affairs in the U.S.

The Ghost Patrol is a peaceful/non-violent ANTI-FONDA, PRO-TROOPS and VETERANS, inspired concept.

Several former POWs from the Vietnam are expected to join the Ghost Patrol at points along the route.

THE Ghost PATROL

is a peaceful and non-violent ANTI-FONDA, PRO-TROOPS and VETERANS, PRO-WAR ON TERRORISM inspired concept. The project will be approached in three phases.

Phase One

Publicly demand Jane Fonda cancel her planned anti-war bus tour as soon an possible.
Phase Two

If Phase One doesn't work, discourage her from leaving the parking lot by peaceful mass demonstration.
Phase Three

If Phase Two doesn't work, THE Ghost PATROL will follow her across country, recruiting support for our troops and veterans at each of her stops. There will be no confrontational actions taken by the Ghost PATROL team toward Jane Fonda or her supporters. However, we expect a very spirited dialog with FONDA followers.
Phase One is currently in operation. You can help right now! Supporters should contact your local media and demand Jane Fonda cancel her planned demonstration immediately. Let them know that you are furious about this issue and you want them to cover the story of THE Ghost PATROL. Contact your elected representatives and demand they voice your disapproval of Fonda's plans. Talk to your church and civic groups and request that they echo your concerns. Phase Two is a little more difficult. We will actually need to show up at her planned departure location. We will need as many bodies as we can get at this place and time to hinder her ability to leave the parking lot. Once we have Intel on her departure plans, we will start making plans of our own. Phase Two is without doubt the most critical part of our plan. If "we" can discourage Fonda from proceeding with her cross country trip, accomplish our objective and we do not have to move into Phase Three. If there is only one thing you can do to help us, it would be showing up in numbers at Fonda's launch site to show your disapproval of her actions. Phase Three is where we will need the most financial and logistic support. We will need a nice tour bus/mobile home. We need funding for fuel, and expenses. We will need volunteer bus drivers. Mandatory Funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs - Recently, the Department of Veteran Affairs publicly announced that they were one billion dollars short as the result of a budgeting problem mistake and would be unable to meet the needs of this country's veterans. Emergency funds have been approved, but budget restraints and under-funding has been a reoccurring problem over the decades. VA employees at all levels complain that they under-staffed, under-funded, and unable to provide timely care. Some veterans wait as much as a year to get into a clinic. Mandatory Funding would mean our veterans from all wars would receive the funds they need and they will not be subjected to the burden of inadequate funding in the future.
Total Protection of Veterans Benefits Currently, many disabled and retired military personal - have been victimized by state divorce court judges that grant awards of a veteran's disability compensation and/or retirement pay to non-military, able bodied, former spouse. Reform of the USFSPA is desperately needed. In addition, federal laws established to protect VA disability compensation (USC, Title 38 & 42) are not being enforced. The DAV and PVA have both released statements urging total protection of veteran's benefits from third party awards. Reinforcement of total protection of veteran's benefits in state courts is desperately needed.

Tax Relief for Active Duty and Retired Military Personnel - In an effort to make a possible career in the U.S. military more appealing to our young soldiers and increase enlistment numbers, we are proposing reduced income tax considerations be awarded to active duty, National Guard and retired military personnel.
Legal Representation Access for Veterans Seeking Benefits - Veterans are, and have been denied adequate legal representation when filing and appealing DVA claims. Current restrictions on a veteran's ability to hire an attorney make it nearly impossible for our veterans to obtain proper legal guidance. The veteran is currently at a great disadvantage, as the Department of Veterans Affairs has more than 1800 attorneys employed to protect their best interest. We submit that veterans be allowed to hire lawyers to represent their best interest much as Social Security allows now.
Inclusion of Department of Veterans Affairs "Status" in State of the Union Addresses - Over the past two decades since the VA was elevated to Cabinet Level the American people have not received any information on the State of this department. For some unknown reason, information regarding this cabinet level function has NEVER been included in any State of the Union Address. The American people are entitled to know the condition of this very important department. We purpose that the President be mandated to address the status of veterans affairs in all State of the Union Addresses.

Mission Foreword

I don't know if anyone remembers the FTA organization or not. It was the anti-war group Jane Fonda started in the late 60s. FTA stood for F*%# THE ARMY. The organization focused on demeaning our active duty personnel by calling them "baby killers" and "war criminals" in hopes they would lose the Will to fight and diminish their desire to follow orders. History would dictate that this type of anti-veteran approach was VERY successful in the desecration of morale within our military during the Vietnam War. Do you see a danger here?

In March of 2006 Jane Fonda is going to lead another anti-war-veteran protest. Her message is exactly the same as it was 30 years ago. Do you think publicly dishonoring our men and women in uniform is really something we should allow Ms. Fonda to do again?

Some of us are going to do everything we can to stop Fonda from even leaving the parking lot. Some of us are willing to put our ass on the line to insure that our ALL VOLUNTEER military is not demoralized again. Some of us feel that Fonda's bus tour is probably the single greatest threat to future veteran affairs and troop morale at this time. None of us are PRO-WAR. No one in their right mind wants American combat forces deployed. That is a no-brainer. But, sometimes it is necessary and no one in there right mind wants airplanes crashing into our cities and suicide bombers killing our children either. So, we are PRO-WAR ON TERRORISM. Do you think if we just ignore Jane Fonda that our enemies will too? The NVA didn't. Do you think Osama will just ignore her?

Many Americans are concerned that Jane Fonda may have an affect on the morale of our deployed troops and jeopardize military operations and American lives in the process, much as she did during the 60s and 70s. Many of the emotional issues that drove the anti-war movement three decades ago simply do not apply today. We no longer have a Draft, and most Americans do not think we are conducting war-time operations. Our military is already having problems meeting enlistment quotas, Jane Fonda's message can only add to this crisis. Ask yourselves these two questions; Why is Fonda waiting until March to start her bus tour? If stopping the "War" was so darn urgent, why is she not doing it now? Could it be her bus tour is about Jane, not Iraq? Many find it very strange that "born-again Christian" Jane Fonda is "not" protesting against terrorism and the anti-Christian mind set held by our enemies. A reasonable person could conclude Ms. Fonda condones the beheading of innocent people, and suicide bombing of innocent civilians. You don't see Ms. Fonda attending any Mission trips overseas to spread the word of God, do you?

We don't have much time. Fonda has a head start, and we don't have a great deal of time to pull this together. You will have to decide if you find our plan something you want to participate in. However, the longer we wait for Americans to get involved, the less we will be prepared to confront Fonda. Trust me, Fonda is calling every IOU she has. You can look for many Hollywood types to endorse and attend the Jain Train. The media will be all over. Reporters will travel with Baby Jane to record her "final act." So, we have to be prepared to take the wind out of Fonda's sails, and finally find some closure for Vietnam.

We need everything! This project has to come together in a very short time. So, we you are a person with a NICE Tour Bus, and want your name associated with this operation, contact ASAP. If we get several offers, we will make them all work. If you are a person that has money, we can use anything! Form fuel money, to food, supplies, and expenses. If you are a printer, we could use ANYTHING! Bumper stickers, signs, T-shirts, copying. Make up you own design concept to express your support. Use your freedom of expression to support or troops. The faster we get visual exposure out there, the faster people will find us. We need a tour coordinator to take charge of the lead bus. If anyone has office space, with phone and internet access, let us know, we have volunteers wanting to help now. We can start a HQ at anytime. We need people to work the Internet from their homes, sending out emails and directing interested parties to our effort. Every hour counts right now. Please don't screw around and miss the bus!

OPERATION NOTES

For those of you that have been waiting for this opportunity, you understand the magnitude and sensitivity of what "we" have to do. It is paramount that "we" conduct our operations within the envelope of American laws and morality. We have to be capable of containing our rage. Under no circumstances does/will any sponsors of the Ghost PATROL condone or participate in any illegal acts. Remember at all time, we are carrying the colors of all five branches of the best damn military in the Galaxy. If you get arrested, please arrange for bail before hand.

One bus will lead our rolling demonstration and be christened THE Ghost PATROL by religious leaders from several denominations. We have no idea at this time exactly how many we can accommodate on this Lead Bus. We encourage every who can bring a vehicle to gone our convoy. Veteran's Rights Activist, Jere Beery is THE Ghost PATROL Team Leader. Former Vietnam POWs have priority over any other consideration for a seat on the lead bus. All efforts will be made to include leaders within the veteran's rights movement as riders on the lead bus at one point or another. As soon as an itinerary is available, it will be posted on this site. We don't know Fonda's schedule or route at this time. However, whatever route is take, we will encourage local civic leaders to voice their support for our efforts. It is very important that "we" don't become so distracted by Fonda that we miss the chance to rally support for our troops and veterans. As soon as a bus is secured and we know how many can be accommodate, we will update everyone as soon as possible.

A TRAITOR IS ABOUT TO BE HONORED

This is for all the kids born in the 70's who do not remember, and didn't have to bear the burden that our fathers, mothers and older brothers and sisters had to bear.

Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the"100 Women of the Century." Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam.

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison the "Hanoi Hilton."

Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American "Peace Activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd received. He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward on to the camp Commandant's feet, which sent that officer berserk. In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied application of a wooden baton. From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the "Hanoi Hilton",,, the first three of which his family only knew he was "missing in action". His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a "peace delegation" visit. They, however, had time and devised a plan to > get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?" Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper. She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper. Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam, and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.

I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia; and one year in a "black box" in Hanoi. My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Ban me Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs.)

We were Jane Fonda's "war criminals." When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her.

I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received... and how different it was from the treatment purported b y the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as "humane and lenient."

Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weights placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me.

These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of "100 Years of Great Women." Lest we forget..." 100 Years of Great Women" should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots.

There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them. Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can. It will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know that we will never forget.
